Hutcheson, Kopriwa Score in 2-1 Saints Victory

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University women's soccer team remained unbeaten with a 2-1 win over Ohio Christian on Wednesday night (August 28, 2019), improving their record to 3-0.

  • Junior defender Abby Hutcheson put the Saints on the board with her third goal in three games. Hutcheson drilled home a loose ball after a corner kick in the 13th minute.
  • Sophomore defender Hannah Kopriwa extended Thomas More's lead in the 38th minute when she played a long, high ball into the box that slipped through the goalkeepers hands and into the net.

  • Hutcheson leads the team with three goals on the season.
  • First year goalkeeper Skylin Yates made three saves to earn her third win of the season.
  • The win extends Thomas More's season-opening winning streak to three games.
  • The Saints surrendered their first goal of the season in the 63rd minute.
  • Thomas More put 10 shots on goal compared to four for Ohio Christian.
  • The Saints took 12 corner kicks in the contest while the Trailblazers had zero.
