(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More women's soccer team fell, 3-0, to Capital University today (Sunday, September 23, 2018) at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

  • Olivia Rotolo gave the Crusaders at 1-0 lead in the 37th minute when she scored off a Bridget Mallin corner kick.
  • Capital increased the lead to 2-0 when Mallin scored on a free kick.
  • Crusaders closed out the scoring in the 80th minute when Allyssa Kimbler scored on a penalty kick for the 3-0 score.

  • Thomas More falls to 1-9 on the season.
  • Capital improves to 5-2 on the season.
  • First-year midfielder Sophie Denier (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) led the team in shots with two.
  • Junior goalkeeper Maddy Kim (California, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded seven saves.

  • Thomas More returns to the pitch at BB&T Field on Wednesday (September 26) when it hosts across-the-river rival Mount St. Joseph University at 4:30 p.m.
