(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College women's lacrosse team hosted Waynesburg University for a PAC women's lacrosse matchup. The Saints won 10-1, getting their first win on the season and improving their record to 1-5 on the season and 1-5 in the conference.
In the first half, Jalee Connor got the Saints on the board first, scoring in the first 40 seconds of the game. Erin Carrus scored the second goal of the game for the Saints on a free position shot. Connor found the back of the net for the second goal of the game, putting the Saints up 3-0. With three minutes left in the first half, Shelby Sherril scored on a free position shot. One minute later, Sarah LaCombe found the back of the net, putting the Saints up 5-0 going into the half.
Sydney Polster started off the second half scoring for the Saints within the first two minutes on a free position shot. Connor found the net for the third time in the game, giving the Saints a 7-0 lead. Less than a minute later Allison Seissiger scored for the Saints from an assist by Connor. Connor, for her fourth goal of the game, ran it in unassisted, putting the Saints up 9-0. Connor put the Saints up 10-0 scoring her fifth goal off a free attempt shot with 13 minutes left in the game. Waynesburg got on the board with a little over eight minutes to go, putting the Yellow Jackets within nine, giving the Saints a 10-1 victory.
The Saints will compete next on Sunday, April 15 hosting conference competitor Thiel College. The game will start at 1:00 pm.
