DeDreu Sweeps ACAA Player of the Week Honors

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - Senior pitcher, Alix DeDreu, swept the ACAA Player of the Week awards this week, being named the Player of the Week for the first time this season as well as the Pitcher of the Week for the fourth week in a row. 

DeDreu, from Rising Sun, Ind. and Rising Sun High School, became the all-time doubles leader at Thomas More in the final game of the week. Over the course fo the Saints' eight games last week, DeDreu hit .469 (15-32) with a .844 slugging percentage. She collected four doubles, two homeruns (both in the second game against Centre) and her first triple of the season while collecting 12 RBI's. DeDreu, who didn't strike out or walk in the eight games, now has 53 doubles over her four-year career

In the circle, DeDreu earned five wins and a save while throwing 26.2 innings and recording a 2.63 ERA. She struck out 36 batters (9.45/7) including two games where she struck out 11 batters each, while only walking one batter all week.

The Saints play tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, hosting Transylvania at 3:30 p.m. in a mid-week double header.
