Softball Hosts Capital in Home Opener Double-Header

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More softball team hosts Capital in a double-header for its home-opener today at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. This will be the first two games of a six-game home stand for the Saints. Thomas More is coming off a week of games down in Kissimmee, Fla. as they competed in the 2019 Spring Games. 

  • The Thomas More University softball team comes into today 5-7 overall on the season.
  • Over spring break, the Saints went 4-6 at the 2019 Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.
  • In the 12 games this season, the Saints have recorded 53 hits, for 12 doubles, six home runs, and 45 RBI's.
  • As as team, the Saints are averaging a .295 batting average.
  • Alix DeDreu leads the way at the plate for the Saints, recording 21 hits this season for six doubles.
  • Andrea Gahan leads the team with 12 RBI's off of 13 hits for three doubels and two homeruns. 
  • On the mound, Thomas More has struckout 60 batters and has a combined ERA of 3.93.
  • DeDreu leads the Saints on the mound with a 2-4 record, striking out 38 batters. 
  • DeDreu was recently named the ACAA Pitcher of the Week this week. 


  • The Crusaders come into today 3-9 overall on the season, recently falling ot Franklin, 7-1, and on a five-game losing streak.
  • Capital has recorded 91 hits on the season, for 28 doubles, six home runs, and 48 RBI's.
  • On the mound, the Crusaders have struck out 22 batters and have a combined ERA of 5.86.
  • Alyx Slusher leads the team with 14 hits for five doubles.
