  • Thomas More Makes Official Move to NAIA and Mid-South Conference

    (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) — Effective today (Monday, July 1, 2019), Thomas More University makes its official move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Mid-South Conference from the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III.

    (TYLER, Texas) – Thomas More University senior pitcher/shortstop Alix DeDreu (Rising Sun, Ind./Rising Sun) and junior first baseman Andrea Gahan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) have been named NCAA Division III All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

    (LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has announced its NCAA Division III All-Region selections and Thomas More University had three student-athletes selected as senior pitcher Alix DeDreu (Rising Sun, Ind./Rising Sun), junior first baseman Andrea Gahan (Cincinnati, Oak Hills) and senior utility player Mary Beth Odom (Taylor Mill, Ky./Dixie Heights) were all first team All-Central Region selections.
  • No. 12 Thomas More Falls to SUNY Geneseo in NCAA Regional Championship Round

    (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The 12th-ranked Thomas More University softball team fell in both games today (Sunday, May 12, 2019) against SUNY Geneseo in the championship round of the Crestview Hills, Kentucky Regional of the 2019 NCAA Division III Softball Championship at Thomas More Ford. Geneseo won the first game, 3-0, and the second game, 5-4. Thomas More ends the season at 34-11 and Geneseo improves to 36-11.

    (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The 12th-ranked Thomas More University softball team advanced to the championship round of the NCAA Division III Championship’s Crestview Hills, Kentucky Regional as it defeated SUNY Geneseo, 2-0, today (Saturday, May 11, 2019) in the winner’s bracket final at Thomas More Field. The Saints improve to 34-9 and the Knights fall to 34-11.

    (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The 12th-ranked Thomas More University softball team shutout Wilson College, 7-0, today (Friday, May 10, 2019) in the opening day of the Crestview Hills, Kentucky Regional at Thomas More Field. The Saints improve to 33-9 and the Phoenix fall to 27-7-2.

    (ALFRED, N.Y.) – The 16th-ranked Thomas More University softball team won the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Championship Tournament today (Sunday, May 5, 2019) as it defeated third-seeded Alfred State College, 10-2, in five innings in the championship game at Harrington Field in Alfred, New York. The Saints improve to 32-9 and the Pioneers fall to 9-18.

    (ALFRED, N.Y.) – The 16th-ranked and top-seeded Thomas More University softball team defeated fourth-seeded SUNY Delhi, 8-0, in five innings today (Saturday, May 4, 2019) in the opening round of the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Tournament at Harrington Field in Alfred, New York. Thomas More improves to 30-9 and the Broncos fall to 11-14.

    (ALFRED, N.Y.) – The 16th-ranked and top-seeded Thomas More University softball team advanced to the championship series of the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Tournament as it defeated second-seeded Finlandia University, 9-0, in five innings today (Saturday, May 4, 2019) in the winner’s bracket finals at the Pioneer Softball Field in Alfred, New York. The Saints improve to 31-9 and the Lions fall to 11-23.

  • Gahan, Temple, and Hans Honored by Cincinnati Women's Sports Association

    The Cincinnati USA Women's Sports Association announced its college award winners today, April 29, 2019. Thomas More had three award winners, Madison Temple for women's basketball, and Andrea Gahan for last season's achievements in softball, winning the College Sportswoman of the Year for their respected sport. Also receiving an award is women's basketball Head Coach Jeff Hans, who was named the college Coach of the Year.
  • #24-Ranked Softball Sweeps Adrian in Regular Season Finale Doubleheader

    The No. 24-ranked Thomas More softball team took on Adrian in its final two games of the regular season today. The Saints took game one, 9-1, to improve to 28-9 on the season.

    The Thomas More softball team swept this week's ACAA Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. Senior Alix DeDreu and junior Andrea Gahan were named Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for their performances last week.

  • 25th-ranked Saints Sweep Anderson on Senior Day; DeDreu Sets Two Pitching Records

    The 25th-ranked Thomas More softball team honored its six seniors today in a two-game sweep against Anderson. In game one, the Saints won 5-1, and defeated the Ravens 5-0 in game two. Senior pitcher Alix DeDreu set two more pitching records in the first game, becoming the all-time leader in strikeouts, with 471, and the program's the leader in all-time wins with 61.

    (ADRIAN, Mich.) – The Thomas More University versus Adrian College softball doubleheader scheduled for Friday (April 19, 2019) in Andrian, Michigan has been postponed due to weather forecasted on Friday.
  • Softball Senior Day Moved up to 4/22
    April 17, 2019
    Due to bad weather earlier in the season, the softball double header against Shawnee St. has been cancelled. Now, the double header that was scheduled at Anderson will now be played at Thomas More and will honor the six seniors on the team. The games will start at 1 p.m. and senior day activities will follow the second game in the series.

  • Odom Named ACAA Player of the Week

    Mary Beth Odom was named the ACAA Player of the Week this week, after her success at the plate in the sweep against Transylvania last week. 
  • Saints Tab Top-Seed in ACAA Conference Tournament

    The American Collegiate Athletic Association released the seeds for the 2019 Softball ACAA Conference Tournament today. Thomas More is the top seed and lead the four-team field for the ACAA Softball Championship to be held in Alfred, NY on May 4 and 5.
  • DeDreu Ties All-Time Pitching Record in Split at DePauw
    April 16, 2019
    The Thomas More softball took on DePauw University in a doubleheader today. The Saints took game one, 7-2, but fell 10-2 in six innings in game two, moving to 25-9 overall on the season.

    The Thomas More University versus DePauw and Trine softball games game scheduled for Sunday (April 14, 2019) in Angola, Ind. has been postponed due to weather forecasted on Sunday.
  • Saints Sweep Transy in a Walk-Off Home Run in Game 2

    The Thomas More softball team swept Transylvania tonight in a Wednesday double header. Thomas More improved to 24-8 overall after a 4-1 win in game one and a 3-0 win in game two in eight innings with a walk-off home run from Mary Beth Odom.

    The Thomas More softball team hosts Transylvania this Wednesday for a double header starting at 3:30 p.m. The Pioneers defeated the Saints earlier this season as well as faced off in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

    Senior pitcher, Alix DeDreu, swept the ACAA Player of the Week awards this week, being named the Player of the Week for the first time this season as well as the Pitcher of the Week for the fourth week in a row.
