Men's Tennis Shuts Out Defiance on the Road

(DEFIANCE, Ohio) – The Thomas More College men's tennis team shut-out Defiance College today, 9-0. This win marks the first win of the spring season, improving the Saints to 3-2 overall.

In doubles competition, the Saints swept the courts. Doubles pair Derrick Kwok and Jeffrey Schenk won 9-7, while duo Sheldon Preisler and Brandon Kwok won 8-4. Partners Logan Daniels and Wesley Smith shut out their opponents 8-0.

In the singles competition, the Saints again swept the courts, winning all six matches. Derrick Kwock took his opponent to three sets, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Jeffrey Schenk won in two 6-1, 6-0. Sheldon Preisler also won in two, 6-1, 6-4. Alex Traylor took his match to three sets, winning 6-1, 2-6, 6-1. Michael Schwarz won in two 6-1, 6-0, as well as Josh Huster, winning 6-1, 6-3.

The Saints travel to Franklin on March 17 for their next match.
