Men's Basketball Returns Home to Host the Bridge Shootout

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The 6-7 Thomas More men's basketball team returns home after a three-game road stand. The Saints host Mount St. Joseph in the Bridge Shootout this Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip-off in the Connor Convocation Center. 

  • The Saints are coming off two tough losses at the Don Lane Classic hosted by Transylvania University. 
  • Ryne Callahan reached his 1,000th point at Thomas More, but the Saints dropped 81-76 to Chicago on Wednesday.
  • Callahan became the 30th player in program history to reach his 1,000thpoint and he finished the game with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal. 
  • Ralph Stone recorded a double-double, grabbing 11 total rebounds and putting up 12 points in the game. 
  • Damion King ended the game with 25 points, along with seven assists, two rebounds, and one steal. 
  • Brandon Horne ended the game with nine points, four assists, five rebounds, and two steals. 
  • Garren Bertsch totaled eight points, three rebounds, and two assists. 
  • Thomas More took on Transylvania on Thursday, dropping 86-75, but led by King who set a new career-high scoring 35 points against the Pioneers. 
  • King went 12-17 from the field, 3-6 from beyond the arc, and 8-9 from the foul line, along with grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two assists. 
  • Stone finished the game with eight points, along with five rebounds and four assists. 
  • Horne posted a total of six points, five rebounds, and two assists.


  • The Lions come into the Bridge Shootout 3-7 overall and one a one-game win streak.
  • MSJ recently took down Hope College 63-62 on Tuesday. 
  • The Lions are averaging 64.1 points per game with a .459 field-goal percentage. 
  • Jake Cropper leads the Lions averaging 18.8 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game. 
  • Devin Young leads the team with 5.6 rebounds per game while Shaun Sullivan holds the team high with 2.4 assists per game.
