    First-year Emily Mohs, an outside hitter from Cincinnati, Ohio and Seton High School has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Freshman of the Year and to the First Team All-America. 
  • Women's Volleyball Falls to #6 Juniata in Regional Finals

    The No. 7-ranked Thomas More University women's volleyball team came up short to No.6-ranked Juniata College, taking the Eagles to four sets. Juniata won 3-1, by scores of 16-25, 25-20, 23-25, 23-25. 
  • Saints Advance to the NCAA Tournament 'Sweet-16' With 3-0 Win Over CNU

    The No. 7-ranked, 33-3, Thomas More University Saints advanced to the NCAA 'Sweet-16' with a shutout win over No. 24-ranked Christopher Newport. The Saints won by scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-19.

    The Thomas More University women's volleyball team looks to keep the momentum from a 3-0 win against Pitt-Bradford in round one of the NCAA Tournament into the second round taking on Christopher Newport, who knocked the Saints out in round one last season. 
  • Four Saints Named to All-Region; Mohs Named Freshman of the Year; Spinney Named Coach of the Year

    The AVCA announced the All-Region teams today, Nov. 8, 2018. The Thomas More University had four players named to the All-Region team, as well as first-year Emily Mohs named the Great Lakes Region Freshman of the Year and Head Coach John Spinney was named the Great Lakes Coach of the Year. Mohs and junior Jenna Mummert were named to the Great Lakes All-Region team and senior Jenna Fessler and sophomore Jessica Ginn were named Great Lakes Honorable Mention.

  • Eight Saints Named All-ACAA; Spinney Named Coach of the Year

    The ACAA announced the All-ACAA Volleyball Team today, Nov. 5, 2018. The No. 7-ranked Thomas More University women’s volleyball had eight members of the team be named All-ACAA as well as Head Coach John Spinney as Coach of the Year. Joining Spinney on the All-ACAA Team is Emily Mohs, Jenna Fessler, Jenna Mummert, Madison Krumpelman, Carlee Lambert, Julia Popova, Alli Borders, and Jessica Ginn.
  • Women's Volleyball Headed to Juniata for NCAA Regionals

    The 31-3 Thomas More University women's volleyball team heads east to Huntingdon, Pa. to compete in the NCAA Regional round of the NCAA Championship Tournament. The Saints open up against the 20-12 overall Pitt Bradford Panthers. The first round will be hosted by Juniata at the Memorial Gymnasium.

    The No.5-ranked Thomas More University women's volleyball team swept Transylvania, 3-0, tonight in a packed Connor Convocation Center in a hard fought match. The first two sets were taken to extra points, with the Saints ultimately coming out on top with scores of 28-26, 26-24, 25-18.

    After taking down No.1 Calvin College this past weekend, the Thomas More University women's volleyball team has powered their way into the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-5. The previous ranked No. 7 Saints went 4-1 last weekend at the 2018 Midwest Invitational, with their only loss coming from now No. 13-ranked Hope.

    The No. 7 - ranked Thomas More University women's volleyball team went 2-0 today, defeating Elmhurst 3-0 early on in the day leading into the much-anticipated match against No. 1 - ranked Calvin, taking down the Knights 3-2. With the wins, the Saints are now 22-2 overall.
