Women's Soccer Competes in ACAA Tournament This Weekend

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More University women's soccer team travels to Hancock, Mich. to begin post-season play in the ACAA conference tournament taking on Finlandia in the first round of the tournament. 

Women's Semi-Finals - November 3 - McAfee Field
Game 1 - 10:00 a.m. - #1 Thomas More (5-12-1) vs. #4 Finlandia (11-3-1) LIVE STREAM 
Game 2 - 1:00 p.m. - #2 SUNY-Delhi (11-3) vs. #3 Alfred State (11-3-2) LIVE STREAM 

Women's Final - November 4 - McAfee Field
Game 3 - 11:00 a.m. - Winners of Game 1 vs. Game 2 LIVE STREAM 

  • The Saints recently fell 4-1 to Wooster, moving to a 5-12-1 overall record.
  • Briana Lunsford got the Saints on the board in the 46th-minute of the game off a corner kick from Megan Sheridan
  • Four different Saints took a shot at the net, Lunsford for the successful goal, Morgan BeareKristina Felix, and Olivia Nienaber all recorded one shot. 
  • Nienaber and Lunsford each had one shot on goal as well. 
  • Kylie Anderson was in goal for 77:00 minutes of the game, recording one save and three goals allowed off of four shots. 
  • Aleyna Heyman replaced Anderson for the remaining 13:00 minutes, recording one save and one goal allowed off of two shots. 
  • The Saints were outshot, 16-4. 

FINLANDIA

SUNY DELHI

  • The SUNY Delhi Broncos come into the weekend 11-3 overall, coming off a 6-4 victory over Fisher. 
  • The Broncos have recorded 308 shots this season, 186 of them being on goal.
  • Kelsey Innes leads the team with 59 shots this season. 

ALFRED STATE

  • The Alfred State Pioneers come into the weekend 11-3-2 overall, coming off a 3-0 loss against Houghton.
  • The Pioneers have recorded 336 shots this season, 188 of them being on goal.
  • Michayla Salatel leads the team with 92 shots this season.
