Women's Lacrosse Drops Second Game of Season

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse team dropped its second match of the season, 18-2, to Madonna today. The Saints drop to 0-2 on the season as Madonna picked up their first win of the season and move to 1-0. 

  • Katie Rice put the Saitns on the board in the first seven minutes of the game off a free position shot. 
  • Rice found the back of the net half-way through the second half, off another free position shot. 

  • Rice scored both goals in the game for the Saints, recording three shots for two on goal, one ground ball and two draw controls.
  • Erin Carrus recorded two shots in the game. 
  • Jalee Connor recorded one shot, one ground ball, and one draw control. 
  • Jocelyn Vargas and Kiera Williams each recorded one shot. 
  • Katie Bryson recorded one ground ball.
  • Kennedy Yurt recorded all 60-minutes in the goal, recording five saves off 23 shots. 

  • Thomas More hits the road and heads to Cumberlands on Mar. 5 for a 6  p.m. game.
