10 Saints Named All-ACAA From Men's Soccer

(CRESTVEIW HILLS, Ky.) – The ACAA announced the All-ACAA Conference team today, November 5, 2018. The 6-11-3 Thomas More University men's soccer had 10 players named All-ACAA, including Bryce Day, Pierce Turner, Colton Dolezal, Jeff Paulin, Dominic Russo, Adam Mathews, Patrick Louis, Suli Kayed, Ethan Smith, and Mark McAulay.

Day, a sophomore from Edgewood, Ky. And Covington Catholic High School, was named First Team All-ACAA. Day has played and started in 19 games this season. He has recorded one goal from 18 shots.

Turner, a sophomore from Milford, Ohio and Milford High School, was named First-Team All-ACAA. Turner has played in 18 games this season, starting 15 of them. He has recorded three goals, as a defender, from 22 shots, two of which were game-winning goals. He helped the Saints' defense record two shutouts.

Dolezal, a sophomore from Fort Thomas, Ky. and Highlands High School, was also named to First-Team All-ACAA. Dolezal has played in all 20 games, starting 18 of them. He has recorded one assists and six shots.

Paulin, a senior goalkeeper from Alexandria, Ky. and Bishop Brossart was named to First-Team All-ACAA. Paulin has played in all 20 games this season, starting 18 of them. He has allowed 35 goals, but has 86 saves, posting a 4-11-3 record. He helped the Saints' defense record two shutouts.

Russo, a first-year from Park Hills, Ky. and Covington Catholic High School was named Second-Team All-ACAA. Russo has played in all 20 games this season, starting 17 of them. He has recorded two assists and seven shots.

Mathews, a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio and Anderson High School was named Second-Team All-ACAA. Mathews has played in all 20 games, starting in 17 of them. He has recorded 12 shots as a defender, helping the Saints' defense record two shutouts.

Louis, a senior from Fort Thomas, Ky. and Newport Central Catholic High School, was named Second-Team All-ACAA. Louis has played in all 20 games this season, starting 19 of them. He has recorded four goals as a defender from 27 shots, two of which were game-winning goals. He helped the Saints' defense record two shutouts.

Kayed, a senior from Slagelse, Denmark and Ryle High School, was named Second-Team All-ACAA. Kayed has played in all 20 games for the Saints, starting 19 of them this season. He has recorded two goals from 47 shots.

Smith, a senior from Colmbus, Ind. and Columbus North High School, was named Second-Team All-ACAA. Smith has played in 15 games this season for the Saints, starting in 11 of them. He leads the team with 55 shots and eight goals, two of which were game-winning.

McAulay, a first-year from London, England and Taunton High School, was named Second-Team All-ACAA. McAulay has played in 16 games this season, starting 11 of them. He has recorded two goals form 23 shots, along with three assists this season.
