(DELAWARE, Ohio) – The Thomas More University men's soccer team fell, 4-0, to Ohio Wesleyan University tonight (Wednesday, October 3, 2018) at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex in Delaware, Ohio.

  • Ohio Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute when Adam Yingling scored.
  • The Battling Bishops extended the lead to 2-0 when Matt Yingling scored off a Jarrod Ferstl assist.
  • Dom Calabrese scored in the 42nd minute to increase the lead to 3-0.
  • Ohio Wesleyan's Will Sharer scored later in the 42nd minute for the final score of 4-0.

  • Thomas More falls to 4-7-2 and Ohio Wesleyan improves to 8-2.
  • Senior goalkeeper Jeff Paulin (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) played 80:54 in goal and three saves.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Andy Geigle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) played the final 9:06 in goal.
  • Junior forward Ethan Smith (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) had five shots, including two on-goal.
  • Senior center back Suli Kayed (Slagelse, DK/Ryle (Ky.)) had six shots, including one on-goal.

  • Thomas More is idle until October 13 when it travels to Chicago, Illinois to play 17th-ranked North Park University.
