Men's Soccer Returns Home for a Monday Matchup Hosting DePauw

(CRESTVEIW HILLS, Ky.) - The 4-4-1 Thomas More men's soccer team returns home today for a 5 p.m. showdown on BB&T Field against the 6-1-1 DePauw University Tigers. 

 

  • Thomas More hosts the 6-1-1 DePuaw Tigers today at 5 p.m. for a home men's soccer match. 

  • The Thomas More men's soccer team fell, 3-2, to Capital University in overtime Saturday, September 22, at Bernlohr Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
  • The Saints out-shot Capital 21-20, including 6-5 on-goal.
  • Smith led the team in shots with six, including two on-goal.
  • Senior midfielder Suli Kayed finished with five shots, including one on-goal.
  • Senior goalkeeper Jeff Paulin played all 94:14 in goal and recorded two saves.

DEPAUW

  • DePauw comes into today's match 6-1-1, coming off a 1-1 tie in double overtime against Wooster and a 3-2 win in overtime against Rose-Hulman. 
  • The Tigers have recorded 95 shots on the season, along with 11 assists, 37 shots-on-goal, and four shutouts. 
  • Goalkeeper Austin Bodner has recorded 20 saves so far on the season, only allowing four goals. 
  • Jay Klein leads the tigers with 13 shots so far on the season, five of which were on goal.
