Luke Zajac Named Google Cloud Academic All-District

(AUSTIN, Texas.) – Thomas More University senior running back Luke Zajac (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Zajac is majoring in business administration and ethical leadership and has a 3.76 grade point average.  He played in all 10 games for the Saints and had 162 rushes for 803 yards and eight touchdowns, while also pulling in 12 catches for 97 yards.  Zajac had 18 kick returns for 369 yards (20.5 yard per return).

By virtue of making the Academic All-District II team, Zajac advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Team ballot.

To be selected Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve with at least a 3.30 grade point average. Academic All-District First Team selections advance to the national Academic All-American ballot.

The Academic All-District teams are voted on by Sports Information Directors within a district and the members of the CoSIDA Academic All-America committee vote on the national ballot.  District II includes every NCAA Division III institution in Kentucky, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island and West Virginia.
