DeDreu, Laumann, Reynolds, Cook and  Gribben Named to PAC Honor Roll

(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) – The President's Athletic Conference (PAC) honored Thomas More College's Alix DeDreu, Ben Laumann, Brady Reynolds, Christina Cook and Allison Gribben as PAC Players of the Week.  DeDreu was named Pitcher of the Week, Laumann was named Player of the Week, Reynolds was named Rookie of the Week, and Cook was named Player of the Week. Gribben received women's Rookie of the Week.

DeDreu went 2-0 in a pair of starts last week for the Saints. She ceded just two earned runs in her 14.0 combined innings of work. She fanned eight in a 5-2 complete-game win at Bethany on Saturday before earning a three-hit shutout in Sunday's 1-0 game one win at Denison. DeDreu is 8-4 in 12 starts with a 3.33 ERA this season.  

Laumann helped lead the Saints to a 3-1 record last week with a conference sweep of Chatham and a split with Bethany. He hit .500 (10-for-20) with a pair of home runs, a double, a triple, seven RBIs and six runs scored. Laumann finished the week with a .950 slugging percentage, a .500 on-base percentage and went two-for-two in stolen base attempts.

Reynolds helped lead the Saints to a 3-1 road record last week with a conference sweep of Chatham and a split with Bethany. He hit .400 (6-for-15) with two triples, a double, two RBIs and four runs scored. Reynolds finished the four-game stretch with a .733 slugging percentage and .438 on-base percentage.

Cook scored a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash Saturday at the DePauw Invitational with a time of 58.12 seconds. She also ran a leg on the Saints' winning 4x100-meter relay that finished with a time of 50.71 seconds, currently the second-best time in the league.

Gribben placed in a pair of events at Saturday's DePauw Invitational. She finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 96 feet, 2 inches (29.31m) and sixth in the shot put with a toss of 31-02.50 (9.51m). Her mark in the discus currently ranks sixth among PAC counterparts. 

Thomas More softball competes tomorrow, Tuesday April 10, at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm at home against W&J. Thomas More Baseball competes next on Wednesday, April 11 and Track and Field competes next on Friday, April 13.
